WHO ARE WE

The Medina County Arts Council (MCAC), is a 501(c)3 non-profit formally organized in 1983. MCAC is committed to inspire each generation to experience and participate in the arts; to enrich the quality of life and celebrate our artistic heritage; to make art accessible to all people throughout Medina County; to advocate for all forms of artistic expression essential to building vibrant, diverse, and inclusive communities; to encourage education.

ARTS EDUCATION

Research shows that arts education has been proven to be beneficial for children; not just in academic success, but in behavior and attendance. MCAC is committed to funding quality arts education programs that will provide students with the opportunity to create a work of art in visual, literary, and/or performing arts, share their work through informal presentations or performances, and reflect to their own work.

GRANTS

MCAC awards grants annually to county organizations with an arts-centered focus or arts related projects. These grants will allow organizations to provide opportunities to learn and experience artistic expression and make art accessible to all in Medina County.

SCHOLARSHIPS

By nurturing the youth, MCAC awards scholarships to graduating seniors living in Medina County who has been actively involved in the arts in high school (this includes, but is not limited to music, visual art, theater, dance, and writing) to be used for continuing education in a technical school, a 2-year or 4-year institution, or training/certification for employment in an arts-related career.
