The Medina County Arts Council Board of Trustees is proud to announce Matthew as the recipient of the 2019 scholarship.
This year, the MCAC Board of Trustees voted to grant the one-time scholarship to Brunswick High School senior, Matthew Dietrich. Matthew is heavily involved with Brunswick Marching Band as its Drum Major.
He is a member of all major ensembles at Brunswick including jazz band, wind ensemble, and also participated in the Ohio All-State Band where he was selected as principal of the saxophone section.

The MCAC Board of Trustees will award the scholarship at the Service to the Arts Awards evening on June 6. We congratulate Matthew and the other 14 applicants on their dedication to the arts.
MCAC received a record number of applicants vying for the $1000 scholarship this year; fifteen high school seniors submitted essays detailing their experiences in the arts and how the arts have shaped their character. The scholarship is open to any Medina County graduating seniors who have been involved with the arts who are continuing their education either via technical school, 2-year, or 4-year institutions. A declaration of a major in the arts is not required for eligibility.
The student will be provided three (3) tickets to the Annual Summer Soirée & Service to the Arts Awards Ceremony on June 6, 2019. The scholarship will be awarded at the Summer Soirée, and the awardee is expected to attend.
