Welcoming Spring with a New Look!
|
The Medina County Arts Council is doing some spring cleaning and we are pleased to introduce the new “Arts Views” e-newsletter to provide more timely and easily accessible information, and to broaden our reach into Medina County communities. We have also updated our website, www.medinacountyartscouncil.org, with additional content, a new look, and easier navigation. In this fast-paced world, flooded with information overload, we want to be your go-to resource for The Arts in our communities. Please take a moment to provide your feedback and let us know what you think and how we can serve you better!

In the past few months, several of our members and our historian have worked on organizing copies of our past newsletters and giving a collection of them to the Medina County Historical Society for their files. They were encased in acid free, archival quality sheet protectors. They were placed, in historical order, in two large three-ring notebooks and delivered to Tom Hilberg at the Historical Society office. Copies were also kept for our own organization, The first newsletter found was dated 1985. This contained the following list of trustees: Robert Arnold, Pat Boyle, Max Brent, Robert Dague, Marlene Jividen, Dorothy Jones, Joanne King, Lee Marra, Elwood Naragon, Marcus Neiman, Maxine Nichols, Ruth Roider, Nancy Sprowls, Bob Villwock, and Rick Williams. Here is one of the short articles printed in that issue: “A committee will soon begin to plan the second ‘Medina County Night at the Ballet.’ Trustee Dorothy Jones has been appointed to chair the committee again for this coming event. Watch for news of the date and ticket purchasing procedures. Last spring's trip to E.J. Thomas Hall provided all who attended with an absolutely delightful evening of superb dance and an opportunity to meet personally the members of the nationally proclaimed Ohio Ballet."
